Bullets lose Mlozi to school

Big Bullets are bracing for the loss of a key member of their awe-inspiring three-pronged attack, Diverson Mlozi, who returns to school next week.

Mlozi is pursuing a two-year diploma course at the Natural Resources College in Malawi’s capital, Lilongwe.

He played his last game for Bullets in the Presidential Cup final against Moyale Barracks.

Bullets general secretary Higger Mkandawire confirmed the development.

“That was indeed Mlozi’s last week with us, at least for this month. We have plan B in the form of Mudi Jeffrey who we signed from Adam FC of Chipiku Central Region Football League. He was a top scorer last season,” said Mkandawire.

Mlozi, who partners Heston Munthali and Gabadinho Mhango in attack, returns to school with four goals in 12 games.

Jeffrey showed the Bullets the stern stuff that he is made of when he scored, alongside Munthali and Henry Kabichi, in the 3-0 beating of Malawi Under-17 at Kamuzu Stadium on Thursday.

“You only need to watch him once to appreciate that he is a massive talent with good physique,” said Mkandawire.
